Description

Life is always flowing. When we are in the flow, we are saying yes to life.

The Flow of Aliveness

We live our qualities and receive what we need and desire. We are able to embrace the things we enjoy, open our hearts to relationships that matter, and creatively express ourselves. We feel alive.
But that is not often the case. If we have ever gone through a challenging or painful experience such as heartbreak, depression, loss of meaning, mourning, or betrayal, it’s hard to feel alive and feel the flow of life. In these moments, we might think that we are in a dark place and that life has abandoned us.
Whatever our body has perceived as traumatic, our natural response was to shut down. It was our survival mechanism. We then started to resist life by saying no to it and its flow.

Yes and No to Life

There is tremendous potential in what we call our no to life. We often perceive it as our darkness. If we don’t focus on the story and the pain it brings, if we feel it is just energy, we will become aware that darkness is nothing but resistance to life.
True freedom, however, is a non-resistance to life. We naturally want to live. The will do live means to say yes to the part of us that still wants to live and feel alive.
To say yes to life, we first need to say yes to our resistance and surrender to it.
In this class, we will find a conscious connection to the will to live and allow it to be our guide and support.
We will feel into the life and aliveness of our bodies. We will allow the parts that are resisting life, and gently invite them back home into the light of our consciousness.
The body is a resource that can bring safety, pleasure, and richness one can dream about. Our nature is what will eventually set us free.
