Movement Classes

To move is to live, and to live is to love.
Movement is our nature. Everything around us and within us is in constant movement and expression. Through our moving body, we learn how to listen to what is alive and conscious inside of us. In movement classes, we learn how to ground ourselves and how to become “at home” in our bodies.
We listen to our body as it shows us how to regulate what needs to be brought into balance. We move what wants to be expressed through us. We are present for that living, souled being that we are, which wants to emerge through us. We learn how to embody mystical, altered experiences.
We are not just moving our bodies. We are allowing the flow of life to move with us and through us, washing away all our imbalances and resistance. By allowing ourselves to be moved rather than exerting effort, we invite the presence and the light of our soul to unite with our human self as one.
Movement practices have their roots in body-centered psychotherapy and have evolved over the years to incorporate various techniques aimed at emotional regulation and expression. These practices include:
•Structured Movement and Breathing Exercises
Focus on emotional regulation and expression.
Conscious Dance and Shamanic Dance
Dance as a medium for deep, intuitive movement and connection.
Storytelling, Meditation, and Embodied Imagination
Guided experience, mindfulness, and creative imagination.
