Creative Emptiness – Through the Pelvis

January 19 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm CET

“Everything that’s created comes out of silence. Your thoughts emerge from the nothingness of silence. Your words come out of this void. Your very essence emerged from emptiness. All creativity requires some stillness.”    Wayne Dyer

January tends to be one of the most challenging months of the year. After the magic, intensity, and fireworks that characterize December, we often feel empty in the darkness of winter.
What if emptiness is, in fact, a potential and a necessity? What if emptiness is crucial and vital for us as a means of rest, rejuvenation, rebalance, and the flow of energy?

Creative Emptiness

In this class, we will dive into the emptiness from which everything arises.
There is no thing without the void. The entire universe is an empty space. Why, then, are we afraid of emptiness? During times of silence, what often triggers us most is the fear of the unknown and our hidden shadow parts.
We are avoiding creative emptiness by constantly consuming content, living on autopilot, or by being in a hurry all the time.
If we look at what is inside us and allow ourselves to dive deep into the emptiness, we will discover a whole new world. Emptiness is a point from which potentials rise.

Through the Pelvis

How is emptiness connected to the pelvis? The pelvis is a part of our body that connects our feet to the heart. It is a place of strength, grounding, creativity, sexuality, and expansion.
Our pelvis is also a mystical space with a will preceding our minds. It holds potentials and a vital flow of energy. At its core, our pelvis is a space of flow, expansion, and emptiness from which everything comes into being—a point of materialization. If the heart is a point of longing, the pelvis is a point of manifestation.
We often find ourselves disconnected from our pelvis due to stored traumas, fears, shames, angers, and griefs.
In this class, we will allow the energy of our pelvis to flow, moving and emptying everything that we no longer need or are able to hold. We will permit the expansion of our pelvis to reveal emptiness, potentials, and creativity that we need.

What is a movement class?

The body-oriented and mindfulness-centered approach lies in two principles: the body and the psyche are inseparable, and the second is that healing exists within us.
The purpose of movement practices is to be fully present in the body. Life starts feeling easier as we learn to live “in the body” rather than outside.
By consciously moving the body, we increase awareness and allow the flow of energy to open. With regular practice, we open the door to authentic expression and start living as we are at the core of our being.
Movement practices stem from the origins of body-centered psychotherapy and have developed throughout the years. We use structured movement and breathing exercises focusing on emotional regulation and expression. We use conscious dance, storytelling, meditation, and guided fantasies. We also use authentic movement, which means that we allow our body’s wisdom to find a spontaneous way of reaching balance and expression
