The Observer
They say that when we observe particles they start behaving differently. The energy moves differently when there is someone to see it.
As an old mind-boggling question goes, if a tree fell in a Forrest and no one was there to see it, did it make a sound? Sometimes we observe ourselves, especially our body, through judgment without actually seeing it.
What kind of message are we sending to ourselves when we judge? That we are not good enough and our body responds to that. We are creating that kind of reality.
Being Seen
One of the most profound trauma is the feeling of not being seen. It may take us to a place of feeling like we don’t matter, like we are not important, and we may even feel lost. For a child especially, mirroring helps them develop a healthy sense of Self and self-esteem.
In this movement class, we will observe our body, our organs, and the energy that is there with our real eyes and see how it responds differently.
